The AIRBEST project represents a leading example of international collaboration in respiratory health innovation, uniting industry partners to advance diagnostics for chronic lung diseases. Currently in the technical validation phase, AIRBEST focuses on non-invasive measurement of exhaled CO₂ using volumetric capnography. By integrating advanced flow sensors and Non-Dispersive Infrared (NDIR) technology, the system delivers high-resolution data on pulmonary function. This approach enables early detection and monitoring of COPD progression, offering clinicians and patients actionable insights. The project’s goal is to transform respiratory care through accessible, data-driven tools that empower users to track lung performance in real time—bridging the gap between clinical precision and everyday usability.
