The need for non-invasive technologies that provide deeper insights into lung health is becoming increasingly important worldwide. As respiratory diseases continue to place a significant burden on healthcare systems, there is a growing demand for accurate, accessible, and patient-friendly diagnostic tools.
Conditions such as COPD develop gradually, often with subtle changes in lung function over time. Advanced breath analysis, including volumetric capnography, has the potential to provide objective physiological information that complements clinical assessment and supports earlier, more informed decision-making.
Projects like AIRBEST aim to advance this field by improving the quality and reliability of respiratory measurements, helping reduce uncertainty and enabling more data-driven approaches to respiratory care.
